Caring for Your Teeth

Caring for Your Teeth

Caring for your teeth is important, but often overlooked until it's too late and you are suffering from the neglect. Don't worry! We at Dental Place are here to save the day. We're going to give you a list of daily things to do for the upkeep your teeth.

1. Brush, Brush, Brush

Brush your teeth at least twice daily, with a soft bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. The toothbrush should be soft so that as you brush the sensitive gum line, you don't suffer injury.

2. Floss

It's important to floss your gums at least once a day. Flossing gets the nooks and crannies the toothbrush misses, and helps prevent as breath and tooth decay.

3. Avoid Sugary Snacks and Beverages

The bacteria in plaque converts the food and sugar from food eaten and produces acids. The acids then eat away at the enamel of your teeth and cause decay.

4. Stop Smoking

Smoking or chewing tobacco creates a prime environment where bacteria found in plaque can grow. Not only that, the nicotine and tar eat away at your gums and discolor your teeth severely.

5. Visit Your Dentist

Schedule regular check-ups with your dentist. It's a preventive step against tooth decay, cancer, and gum disease, all of which are easier to treat in their earlier stages.

That's it for our list! Happy smiling!
